  • What causes tooth decay?

Tooth decay is caused by the acids which are produced by bacteria. To prevent tooth decay, it is best to have this bacteria removed by brushing and flossing. It is also recommended to drink water after each meal to wash away the acid produced by the bacteria.

  • I have a terrible fear of going to the dentist. What should I do?

First, you should talk to your dentist about your concerns. If they do not take your anxiety seriously, then it is time to find another dentist.

Once we know about your fear, we can work with you to help you have a comfortable dental visit.

  • How often should I visit the dentist?

For most people, a wellness visit every six months is standard. However, depending on a person's health, a dental cleaning every three months may be recommended.

  • Do you help patients who don't have insurance?

Yes! Lumbertown Dental Wellness and its team strive to make dental care available to everyone. We offer a number of financing options for your convienence, such as CareCredit.

  • What if I have an emergency?

Please call our office as soon as you determine that you have a dental emergency. We will be glad to work you into our schedule if you have a dental emergency during office hours. After hours, over the weekend and during holidays, please call our office for the doctor's emergency contact number.

  • Are you accepting new patients?

Always! As a new patient at Lumbertown Dental Wellness your first appointment will include a comprehensive wellness exam, x-rays, and a consultation with our treatment coordinator. They will answer all of your questions, as well as go over your suggested treatment plan, pricing options, and will help you schedule any future appointments.
